A small label that cares a lot about the lettering and not too much about itself.
Fonty Factory is a small, one-person label. We make text-led shirts the slow way, one decent idea at a time.
The name says most of it. We treat a shirt like a bit of typesetting. The joke has to land, but the lettering has to be right too. No recycled clip-art, no stock photos, nothing thrown together in a hurry.
We design narrow on purpose. A nurse on a night shift, a teacher counting down to the holidays, a firefighter who runs toward the thing everyone else runs from, someone who is fluent in dog. Each line talks to one of those people properly instead of shouting at the whole room.
Everything is made to order through our print partner. You order it, then it gets made, so there is no warehouse full of shirts nobody bought and nothing going to landfill at the end of a season.

Written
Every design starts as one line worth wearing. We write it for a specific person, not for the whole room at once.
Drawn
It gets drawn and set in-house as original artwork, then checked for trademark clashes before it goes near a garment.
Printed
It only gets printed and shipped once someone orders it. No stockpile, no leftovers, no waste.
